Heavy Thermal Dark Matter from a New Collision Mechanism
نویسندگان
چکیده
We propose a new thermal freezeout mechanism which results in dark matter masses exceeding the unitarity bound by many orders of magnitude, without violating perturbative or modifying standard cosmology. The process determining relic abundance is $\chi \zeta^\dagger \to \zeta \zeta$, where $\chi$ candidate. For $ m_\zeta < m_\chi 3 m_\zeta$, cosmologically long-lived and scatters against exponentially more abundant $\zeta$. Therefore, such allows for heavier same interaction strength as particle undergoing ordinary $2 2$ freezeout; equivalently, weaker interactions mass. demonstrate this leptophilic model, up to $10^{9}$ GeV.

Anti-deuterons from heavy Dark Matter
We study the fluxes of anti-deuterons that could be produced by annihilations in the galactic halo of Dark Matter particles with multi-TeV mass and a large annihilation cross section, as indicated by the recent PAMELA results. The model of Minimal Dark Matter (MDM) is an example in this category. We find that the fluxes are well within the reach of planned experiments for DM candidates that ann...

متن کاملGamma rays from heavy neutralino dark matter.
We consider the gamma-ray spectrum from neutralino dark matter annihilations and show that internal bremsstrahlung of pair final states gives a previously neglected source of photons at energies near the mass of the neutralino. For masses larger than about 1 TeV, and for present day detector resolutions, this results in a characteristic signal that may dominate not only over the continuous spec...
متن کاملSuperheavy Dark Matter from Thermal Inflation
It is quite plausible that the mass of the dark matter particle increases significantly after its freeze-out, due to a scalar field rolling to large values. We describe a realization of this scenario in the context of thermal inflation which naturally gives a cold dark matter particle with the correct cosmological abundance and a mass around 10 GeV, evading the conventional upper bound of 10 Ge...
متن کاملAxino dark matter from thermal production
The axino is a promising candidate for dark matter in the Universe. It is electrically and color neutral, very weakly interacting, and could be—as assumed in this study—the lightest supersymmetric particle, which is stable for unbroken R-parity. In supersymmetric extensions of the standard model, in which the strong CP problem is solved via the Peccei-Quinn mechanism, the axino arises naturally...
